Long before Superman, before Beowulf, the was Gilgamesh.....the first superhero.  Love, loss, sex, betrayal, death, mortality.  It's all here in the world's first story.  The epic of Gilgamesh touches us today becuase its conerns are universal.  Who are our heroes?  Who will lead us?  Who among us will be immortal?  Dr. Stein helps us discofer the culture that produced Gilgamesh.  Then, the story on the clay tablets is brought to life at a marathon reading by people from across the Houston community with commentary and sicussion by Dr. Jim Hollis of the Jung Center.
